Representing PE100+ Association at Trenchless Indonesia 2017

The PE100+ Association participated for the first time in Indonesia at the Trenchless Indonesia 2017 event in Jakarta, Indonesia. A total of 30 companies exhibited at this specialist event which attracted almost 1000 visitors over two days.

At the event, Borouge, on behalf of the PE100+ Association, presented the recently developed online ‘No-Dig Technical Guide’ to help end-user technical staff identify the most suitable trenchless methods for installing PE100 pressure pipes. During the Q&A session, participants asked for more details on welding methods for PE100, the maximum pipe bending radius during field installation and pressure testing after pipeline rehabilitation among other topics. The presentation further raised the profile and awareness of PE100 to participants which consisted of members of the Indonesian Professional Engineers Association, the National Association of Contractors Indonesia as well as local plastic pipe producers and suppliers. The presentation attracted almost 50 participants and was highly successful. Four members from Siam Cement Group (SCG) were also present at the presentation and booth on behalf of the PE100+ Association to support the outreach.

Trenchless Indonesia 2017 also represents the first time the association has participated in an event in Indonesia. With the expected rapid growth in demand for many different types of pipe materials to meet the region’s needs, it is an excellent opportunity for the association to remind authorities and key decision makers of the benefits of PE100 and to ensure that only the highest quality PE100 materials are specified.
