PE100+ Association participated in Conference and exhibition by India Society of Trenchless technology at Delhi

The need for Trenchless installation for Pipes arises from its ability to install, replace and rehabilitate underground utilities with minimal surface disruption and environmental impact specially in urban areas.

The Indian Society of Trenchless technology (IndSTT) established in 1995, is the apex organization promoting  trenchless technology in India and South through training, certification and standardization.

IndSTT organized No Dig India show 2025 – a Conference come Exhibition during 28-29^th November in Delhi where PE100+ Association joined as a sponsor and speaker. PE100+ Association promotes consistent quality at the highest level in the production, installation and the use of Polyethylene for PE100 Pipes. Currently 15 Global PE producers conform to the benchmark of PE100+ Association.

PE100+ Association had a booth in the exhibition area and received many interesting enquiries on use of PE100 pipes and its pressure, temperature, size and Chemical contacts limits. Chanchal Dasgupta and Vivek Pathak from Borouge, one of the PE100+ members managed the booth on behalf of the Association. Over 25 Indian and overseas companies including HDD operators, suppliers of consumable and monitoring systems participated in the exhibition.

The conference was attended by over 70 participants which witnessed 12 technical papers and 3 panel discussions. The inaugural session on both days had who’s who of Trenchless Technology addressing the gathering. This included :

IndSTT has a MoU Exchange program with CIDC and Medhavi Skills University (MSU) which trains about 1000 students per batch as Bachelor of Vocation to create trained manpower support for Trenchless installation industry.

To recognise exceptional work in this field IndSTT also gave away prizes for 1st ICC National Awards and 4th ITEA 2025 Awards.

On behalf of PE100+ Association, Mr. Chanchal Dasgupta, Borouge Pte Ltd presented a paper on “The Project Management Benefits of Using PE100 Pipe Systems and Trenchless Technology”. The paper was prepared jointly with Andrew Wedgener of LyondellBasell. It gave an account of PE100+ website (www.pe100plus.com) and its No dig guide which deals in great details of all the trenchless technologies and decision modules. It also elaborated on the latest PE100RC+ materials which are ideally suited for trenchless installation where the pipes should be more damage resistant without sacrificing the design life. The presentation received a very good response from the audience.
