The PE 100+ Association at Trenchless Asia 2025 in Kuala Lumpur

Trenchless Asia is the leading trenchless technology conference and exhibition held in Asia each year and the 2025 event was held in Kuala Lumper, Malaysia on 7 and 8 May and attended by over 2000 delegates. The PE100+ Association had a stand at the exhibition and gave a presentation at the event because the installation of PE100 pipe systems using trenchless technologies is an excellent way of demonstrating the advantages of high quality PE100 materials.

Our stand was manned by Amos Tay from Borouge and Andy Wedgner from LyondellBasell. The many visitors to the stand were given a brief introduction to the association and the benefits of using high quality PE100 pipe systems, with the focus on trenchless technology. They were also provided with and shown how to use a Pi tape to accurately measure the outside diameter of a PE pipe.

Andy also gave a presentation entitled “The project management benefits of using PE100 pipe systems and trenchless technology”. This explained how installing PE100 pipe systems using trenchless technology can reduce the social and environmental impact of the installation process together with reducing the cost, installation time and the carbon footprint of installation by between 50 and 90%, depending on the installation method used.
