TASNEE was established in the year 1985 with a capital investment of SR 600 million, as the first Saudi joint-stock company holly owned by the private sector.
Under the supervision of the board TASNEE is conducting its restructuration to accommodate the business to the new standards of globalisation. Since TASNEE is focusing its activities on two major businesses that are believed to be the future strong building blocks of the company.

In the recent years, the kingdom has been going through a strong revolution in the petrochemicals industry. In year 2001 TASNEE started the first petrochemical project, Saudi Polyolefin Company (SPC), a world scale project, a propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene units in a partnership with leading company in this field. The capacity of the 2 plants is 450 000 TPA each.
In year 2006, TASNEE established the Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Company (SEPC) as a joint venture company. The $ 2 billion investment consisted of 1.3 million TPA ethylene and propylene cracker, an HDPE plant of 400 000 TPA using advanced technology and one LDPE plant with 400 000 TPA capacity, and with extra PP capacity of 280 000 TPA.
In 2013 TASNEE will add four major products, Acrylic Acid, N-Butanol, Butyl Acrylate and SAP.
TASNEE is looking forward to other petrochemical projects that have high added value and generate consequent revenue for the company.

CRISTAL Global is one of the leading companies in the area of titanium dioxide applications. It is the world second largest producer of titanium dioxide with a total capacity of 700 000 TPA.
Consolidation of both CRISTAL and Millennium after CRISTAL has acquired Millennium in 2007, contributed towards expansion of the company’s production lines, resources, services and support of paints and paper industries.
