PVC4Pipes Training and Presentation Packages - 2014

In order to make it easy for the PVC pipe manufacturers to train their sales forces in a professional and consistent way across Europe and to give them a set of clear reference data, PVC4Pipes has taken a first initiative in developing a Training Toolkit, a set of Power Point slides, which provide information about PVC-U and PVC-C Pipe Systems, both on General Aspects and on key Application Sectors (sewage, fresh water, soil & waste, hot & cold, rainwater, industrial).

This Toolkit, presented in 2012 at the PP XVI conference in Barcelona, has now been launched in 2013.

As a spin off of this toolkit, PVC4Pipes is now developing several Presentation Packages which will allow the key stakeholders in the market to be better informed:

  • A Presentation Package aimed at distributors and installers,
  • A Presentation Package aimed at specifiers and public procurement officers.
  • A Presentation Package aimed at the educational world

These Packages will provide a variety of opportunities to generate a coherent, neutral and well mastered communication in the market about PVC-U and PVC-C Pipe Systems.

This paper gives a brief overview of the origin of this initiative, describes the toolkit concept, the status of development, the way it is rolled out and used as a communication tool to create a community and gives initial feedback about the field experiences .
