Structured Wall Non-Pressure Pipes

Plastic Pipes Conference Association # 2004 Milan

Jungmann

This case study follows the installation of a 300 to 800mm PVC sewer pipline system in a housing development. The system employs a novel design of PVC foam core pipes which have an integral, fixed elastomeric sealing ring in the joint as well as a specially thickened inner wall which gives improved abraision performance. The system also incorporates a novel design of saddle which is not only easily installed but also allows ready connection to the house drainage system. This saddle can be used with either new or existing pipeline istallations in sizes up to 1500mm as it may be retrofitted . Overall the system offers a cost effective high performance solution to utility provider.
