Gas 12 Bar PE Plastics Pipes [PE]

According to the Russian standard local high pressure gas lines have pressure level of 6 and 12 bar. To provide these gas lines by PE pipes researches were conducted and pipes made from PE100 diameter 160 mm SDR7.4 were developed and produced. Pipe’s laying (850 m) was made in Vladimir region in 1998. In 2000 pipes were made from PE100 of TOTAL FINA, pipes diameter was 180 mm SDR9. These pipes were laid in the same region. The gas pipe length is 6.1 km. Fittings PE100 SDR9 and PE80 SDR7.4 of Friatec were used. To increase a safety factor for connecting the glass-fibre-reinforced plastic protective coating with thickness 6 mm was applied by winding. The same decision was used for transitions “steel-PE”. Hydraulic testings were conducted. The efficiency of offered decisions were shown. Gas lines are in working, at he same time experimental sections of gas lines are arranged. Every year possibility to make test is provided for definition of pipe’s quality level according to method of standard ISO4437.
