FIBER REINFORCED LARGE DIAMETER POLYETHYLENE PIPE (GRPE) consists of fiberglass as the middle layer, and HDPE as inner and outer layers to provide required strength and stiffness. This composite pipe is made by spirally winding under hot melt condition, pipe pressure ranges is from 0.8 to 1.6 MPa. The fiber reinforced composite pipe is a new type pipe with a brilliant prospect, which can be widely applied in water conservancy projects and municipal pipeline such as portable water supply and sewage. Currently, the equipment for producing polyethylene large diameter fiber reinforcement composite pipe with diameter ranges from 300 to 3000mm as successfully developed. The report from China National Test Center of Polymer & Chemical Building Materials indicates that the product is fully compliance with the relevant standard.


Polyethylene is polymer material, which is harmless, recyclable and environmental friendly. Polyethylene pipe has a great performance for both internal and external pressure stress resistance, creep resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-aging. PE pressure pipe lifetime can reach at over 50 years, with features of great rigidity, excellent flexibility, less water resistance, light weight, convenient transportation, easy and lower cost on installation and connection on piping system, can be widely applied in portable water supply, drainage ,petrochemical, mining, agricultural irrigation and sewage.

Polyethylene pipe is classified into pressure pipe and non-pressure pipe. The nonpressure pipe is usually deployed in drainage. The large diameter spirally wound structure wall pipe could be reached at 4000mm, which is the largest non-pressure pipe for drainage. The polyethylene pressure pipes can be used as water distribution pipeline, pressured drainage and chemical production industry where the working pressure is between 0.32 MPa to 2.0 MPa, sometimes even higher..
