The Plastics Pipes Industry (users and manufacturers) has made great progress to achieve European Standardization of their products. Much work still must to be done, including supporting at a national level what has been achieved with draft prEN or prEN ' s Insecurity exists with the harmonization of the European Standards and the Certification of the Assessment of Conformity of the products, both under the Construction Products Directive (CPD). It can be expected that further progress will be made during 1992.
