A Theoretical Approach to the Practical Problems involved in Jointing different PE Grades [PE]

Plastic Pipes Conference Association # 1982 York

Brinken

The compatibility of the various PE materials can be theoretically described by four different theories explained in this text. It is shown that the PE types investigated do not differ with respect to disperse and polar surface energies. The applicability of the theories to socket, electro, and butt fusion and their limitations are described.
