At the annual PE100+ Association member meeting on February 28, 2006 in Brussels, pipe business management of the seven member companies praised the achievements of the association in year 2005 and the image it has reached.

PE100+ Association annual member meeting sets new direction

At the annual PE100+ Association member meeting on February 28, 2006 in Brussels, pipe business management of the seven member companies praised the achievements of the association in year 2005 and the image it has reached. The future direction of "Creating trust in high quality PE pipes" was presented and well received by the members. "The industry appreciates the technical and promotion work of the PE100+ Association, which aims to create trust in high quality PE pipes-Globally and in close co-operation with other associations" said Robin Bresser, the President of the PE100+ Association.
 
The PE100+ Association warmly welcomed a new member, Borouge, who joined in January 2006. "Borouge's role will be to publish and promote the PE100+ Association in the Middle East and Asia region. The association delivers a platform for the converters to drive further their technical and quality capabilities" said Andre van Uffelt, Borouge Business Manager Pipe.

The association Board was re-elected with a new member, Borouge:

  • President and Chairman: Robin Bresser, Borealis
  • Vice President: Ulrich Schulte, Basell Polyolefins
  • Secretary: Serge Bettonville, Ineos
  • Treasurer: Aloys Hutten, SABIC EuroPetrochemicals
  • Advisory Committee: Christine Bertrand, TOTAL Petrochemicals
  • Asia & MEA member: Shinichi Nagano,  Prime Polymer
  • Asia & MEA member: Didier Nozahic, Borouge

Furthermore, Nora Mäkelä-Vaarne from Borealis will continue as Marketing Manager of the PE100+ Association.
