In the spirit of promoting consistent quality at the highest level in the use of PE pipe systems while refraining from positioning them aggressively versus other plastic pipes, the PE100+ Association has been active in two important industry events across Asia in May 2013.

From May 29-30th, Sino French Water, SFW, organized its 2013 Non Revenue Water Seminar in Chongqing, China. They had over 50 delegates from the SFW Headquarters, its 9 JVs, Macao Water, Chongqing Water and some product/services suppliers. The topics of the seminar covered pipe materials, leak detection, pressure management, metering and GIS&HM. Regarding PE, a presentation from Mike Shepherd – commissioned by the PE100+ Association – was found very interesting by the delegates and it was decided to adopt Mike’s proposal on the PE pipe service connection and pipe repair methods. SFW thanked the PE100+ Association: “In the last year and this year, we have brought plenty of information on PE pipes to our JVs, they have got better understanding of PE pipes. Thanks a lot for your continuous contribution to our NRW Seminars and to our PE applications, which is a big part of our network optimizing policy. And we believe that we will have more opportunities to cooperate in the future.”
