PE100+ 协会 > Governance
GovernanceGovernance of the Association In accordance with its statutes, the Association is governed by its members. An annual Members Meeting reviews the proposed promotion and technical program, approves the budget and membership fees and nominates the Board of the association. In addition an annual Advisory Committee Meeting is held where members of the pipe value chain (pipe and fitting producers, designers, installers and system operators) are invited to review the work carried out by the Association. Association members follow strict ethical business rules and all activities of PE100+ Association fully comply with European Competition Law, excluding any exchange of commercially sensitive information. To be a member of the PE100+ Association a company must have at least one of its compounds on the Quality List of PE100 Materials. The list which is shown on the Association website is independently maintained by Kiwa-Gastec who organises the regular testing of members’ material(s). The Board of the Association manages all the current activities and tasks and responds to the Members. A part time Marketing Manager is co-opted from one of the member companies to support the activities of the Association. The Board meets at least once each quarter to discuss the technical and promotion activities of the Association and to monitor the progress on specific projects. To carry out specific projects the Board can nominate a working group with participants from both member and non member companies. Alternatively the Board can engage consultants or reputed technical institutes to carry out the project work. All projects are approved by the Members Meeting and covered within the annual budget. The PE100+ Association also organizes Seminars and Workshops in various countries to promote the use of polyethylene pipe compounds. Those member companies who agree to participate to such actions will share among themselves the costs and resources needed. |
